  • The Integrator now writes events to multiple rotating files rather than writing events to a single file.
  • You can now write custom scripts to execute actions on the rotated files, such as compressing the rotated file, transferring the file, and parsing the file.
  • You can now improve the Integrator’s performance by configuring the Integrator to receive events directly from the Sentinel server, without the intermediate Action. To receive events directly from the Sentinel Server, clear the Use an Action to pre-process events check box when configuring the Integrator. For more information about configuring the Integrator, see “Configuring File Integrator” on page 8.
  • You can now add the FIELDS_TO_SEND property when configuring the Integrator. This property allows you to specify the event fields that you want to send from the Sentinel server to an external system. You can add multiple field names separated by a comma, in the same order in which you want to view the event fields.(Bug 1143252)
  • The Integrator escaped special characters such as forward slash (/) when you cleared the Use an Action to pre-process events check box. Now, the Integrator does not display escape characters around the special characters.(Bug 159821)
  • The Sentinel server now process the actions faster. This prevents the action queue from getting full and causing high CPU utilization.(Bug 1129583)
  • The Log Manager now writes only one line per event to the log file. (Bug 834996)
