Description

Skyhigh Networks is a Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) used by over 600 enterprise customers, including 40% Fortune 500, to secure their cloud usage. Companies such as GE, HPE, Aetna, Comcast, Coca Cola, Western Union and American Express use Skyhigh as a control point between the user and a cloud service to help meet their security, compliance and governance requirements.  Skyhigh provides visibility into user activity, enforcement of data loss prevention policies on data uploaded to the cloud; detecting and preventing internal and external threats and compromised accounts; encrypting data with customer-controlled keys; and implementing access-control policies.

Skyhigh provides visibility into cloud usage and threats within the customer's organization sending ArcSight real time alerts on anomalous events stopping data leakage and anomalous behavior and meeting governance and compliance requirements. Many companies rely on HP ArcSight to collect, analyze, and store their network and security event logs from thousands of sources including web proxies and firewalls. Now, they’ll be able to surface additional insights about their cloud usage and threats. Skyhigh Cloud Access Security Broker uses a machine learning engine to baseline normal cloud behavior and detect anomalous activity in over 20,000 shadow IT and sanctioned cloud services.

With Skyhigh, customers can easily analyze their log data stored in ArcSight with Skyhigh, and then correlate cloud activity with other events in ArcSight.    For example, enterprises can discover anomalous activity such as a large data upload to a cloud-based file sharing service and correlate that event activity with data showing that a machine does not have antivirus software installed, indicating a potential malware infection. Together, these two data points more strongly point to a potential threat than either of them in isolation, leading to fewer false positive alerts. Anomalies detected by Skyhigh are sent back to ArcSight so that customers can leverage one central monitoring and event workflow.

The combined solution applies sophisticated machine learning algorithms to develop behavioral baselines, and compares usage against a Cloud Activity Graph, the industry’s most complete model of user behavior in the cloud based on usage data for over 21 million users and detailed signatures for over 20,000 cloud services. Optionally, customers can take action on alerts such as disabling uploads to a specific cloud service by a specific device until the incident is investigated.
