This guide provides information for configuring the TippingPoint SMS for the Syslog event collection and sharing it with HPE ArcSight. This Connector is supported on Linux platforms. SMS versions starting at v4.2 are supported. The Trend Micro TippingPoint Security Management System (SMS) is a hardened appliance that provides global vision and control for multiple TippingPoint Intrusion Prevention System (IPS). The SMS is responsible for discovering, monitoring, configuring, diagnosing, and reporting for multiple IPS systems.
Through integration into HPE ArcSight SIEM, TippingPoint customers are able to correlate and manage network IPS security events with events from other technologies.
