Description

This Learning Series is provided in separate lessons. It is recommended that you to take in sequential order, but you have the choice.

In phase one, you will learn how WebInspect (on-prem and hosted*) automates DAST (Dynamic Application Security Testing). You will run dynamic scans on their Web applications, Web services, Enterprises and REST APIs using macros and other WebInspect Tools. Then, navigate the scan results to analyze the detected vulnerabilities to secure your applications. The focus is around providing simple steps to utilize WebInspect in a lab environment and showcase the ease of use for scanning dynamically.

In phase two, you will learn how Fortify ScanCentral DAST (eDAST on-prem and hosted*) is a dynamic application security testing tool that is comprised of the WebInspect sensor service and other supporting technologies that you can use in conjunction with Fortify Software Security Center (SSC) to secure your applications. You will learn how to configure and run ScanCentral DAST (Dynamic Application Security Testing) into your SSC platform. Once again, the focus is around providing simple steps to run Fortify ScanCentral DAST in a lab environment and showcase the ease of use for scanning dynamically.
