Description

CiscoWorks Network Compliance Manager (NCM) is a rebranded offering of HP Network Automation (NA). The Cisco NCM to HP NA Conversion Toolkit converts your installed NCM software to NA software on the same system. The process involves copying the NCM installation to a different directory on the NCM server and then updating the branding in the copied files to create an NA installation.

 

The Cisco NCM to HP NA Conversion Toolkit is designed for customers who have purchased the HP Network Automation for Cisco NCM Customers product. Conversion Notes:

 

  • The time needed to convert NCM to NA varies according to the number of device OS images and the number of historical archives. Moderately-sized installations should convert completely in 10-20 minutes. For 10,000 nodes with three or more years of history and several hundred OS images, conversion might take 1-2 hours.

 

  • The disk space needed to convert NCM to NA is approximately equal to the size of the NCM installation directory. No additional disk space is needed on the database server.
