Management Pack for Amazon Web Services enables you to monitor AWS Services. This management pack includes capabilities to Discover, monitor and detect performance issues through events and performance graphs for AWS Elastic Cloud Compute (EC2) Server Instances, Elastic Block Storage (EBS), EC2 Container Service (Amazon ECS), AWS Service status, Relational Database Service (RDS), and Auto Scaling Group (ASG), Elastic Load Balancing (EBS), Simple Storage Service (S3) instances, AWS Billing, AWS Key Management Service (KMS), Simple Queue Service (SQS), Red Shift Service,AWS Service Health Dashboard based on the services and regions, Role based Authentication for AWS Generic.
Hybrid IT environments, which includes on-premise data centres and public cloud, can be managed using OBM Management Pack for Amazon Web Services along with other Management Packs.
AWS Generic enables you to monitor specific instances of a service. To monitor specific instances you must create a configuration file policy that should contain the Instance ID as a parameter. You must then attach this file to a health aspect.

What's new
The MP for AWS introduces the following features:
AWS RDS RBA Aspects enables you to discover and monitor Relational Database Service (RDS) if we have deployed the MP for AWS on a cloud. It consists of:
2. Region-based monitoring
AWS Generic enables you to monitor specific regions of your choice. To enable region-based monitoring, we must edit the AWS_GenericRegionsConfiguration policy present in the AWS Generic Aspect and the AWS Generic RBA Aspect.
3. Monitor multiple accounts
AWS Generic enables us to monitor multiple accounts. If the MP for AWS is on a cloud, then we can monitor multiple accounts using the role ARN (Amazon Resource Number) of respective accounts. The benefit of doing this is that we do not have to install Operations Agent on all accounts. We can install Operations Agent on a single EC2 instance and then use it to monitor multiple accounts.
4. Alias name for Account ID
We can now specify an AWS alias name that will be used as the display label of the AWS Account CI.
