This package provides support for the scheduling and creation of Change or Request records. It is possible to create a schedule of when you would like a Change or Request record to be opened based on a frequency. The record is opened and the schedule maintenance record is re-scheduled for the next date.
The Scheduled Maintenance application is designed to allow an agent to create a schedule of when a Change or Request is automatically created. This allow the agent to plan when maintenance should be performed on a regular basis and ensures the associated Change Model or Request Offering is generated. The agent must provide details like a title and description of the Scheduled Maintenance including the type of record to be created (Change or Request).
If required the Scheduled Maintenance record can be approved before becoming active and retired if no longer needed. The process for Scheduled Maintenance can be further configured or changed as needed to match customer specific practices.
